Breakfast in America

[Sakura]

Raito heard his alarm go off for the seventh time as he rolled out of bed, orange hair messy just like every other morning.

His bed was mangled from another nigth of sleep, just like every other morning.

His floor was ice cold when his bare feet, just like every other morning.

He walked down the same stairs and looked into the his sisters room and the mess of tangled black hair was there under velvet sheets...just like every other morning.

He grabbed a white undershirt and pulled it over his slightly muscular fram as he slid on some jeans and a brown sweat jacket as he poped toast in his mouth and grabbed a bottle of water and his mp3 player.

He set off for a morning run. A year ago, he would have just ran two miles. Since he got his Gem, he was able to run eight in that time frame so today he wanted to push for ten so he would be sleepy and tired on the flight to egypt.

The crips mornign air hit his skin as he opened the door and did some light stretches on his apartment pourch before taking off in a dead run.

Nutomiya was taking her normal morning stroll through the city. She had Jackie with her today, and the only reason was Jackie had insisted on coming. She walked slowly today, she always looked for people who were being hunted for their gems, and were in danger. She liked helping them find a place to stay. Her forest was very calm and lovely...Or so she thought. She loved the way the birds would sing to her. But this street was not her favorite place. It was far too noisy for her liking.


Jackie walked alongside her teacher. She was looking around curiously. Eversince her sister had been murdered, she hadn't been out of the forest. She had always loved this place...But now...It seemed so...Loud to her. She hated the city noise now. It was loud and obnoxious, and gave her a headache. "So? Anybody seem in need of help to you?" She asked tryin to make conversation.

"No." She repled, "Not yet." She kept her head held high, and she didn't look at Jackie as she spoke.

Raito was running quickly and briskyl, barely panting even though he was whizzing past other joggers, and he even past a few bikes. He smilled to himself as he felt the rush of being strong, he enjoyed it. It gave him confidence, and the feeling he could do anything....

Ursa rose lazily out of bed and quickly showered and ate as she walked onto her front pourch. She knew her brother was out for his morning run. She was proud he worked so hard in staying fit, since he would be fighting....

Ursa on the other hand, didn't need hand to hand combat. She could heal, and kill, within a few seconds time... The pourch was calm and peaceful, with a morning breeze playing on her grey sweater. She sat on the step to their house, as she sipped her coffe.

Raito was running down the street, grinning and unaware he was leeking power.

Nutsomiya walked causiously around, Jackie right by her side. She suddenly felt power...Strong power. Whoever it was wasn't try too hard to conseal it. "Carefull Jackie! I feel power... And lots of it. We must be super carefull, and try to find out where it is coming from." She said to her small young friend beside her. She looked around as though she would be attacked at any time.


Jackie looked around inspecting people as they went by. She was prepared to...Then it hit her...She was a healer. She couldn't attack people! What was she thinking? She needed something! Nutsomiya, could atleast hit people, but she was so small it wouldn't hurt anyone.

"There!" She said Nutsomiya in Jackie's ear. She was pointing to a guy, who was ruuning rather quickly nearby. "He has a gem..."
